WAACSA Gauteng aims to provide a community of support, information and spiritual renewal for our members and friends.

We organise talks, workshops and other events for members as well as the wider public as a basis for developing a more mature faith with an informed and critical understanding of current issues, engaged in the Church and with the world.

Members and friends on our e-mail list receive copies of papers delivered at our meetings, and from time to time a selection of articles and reports from the international Catholic press and other news about developments in the Church.

Our meetings generally incorporate a liturgical element expressing our faith through prayer, readings, reflection and song.

We meet more or less monthly though not on fixed dates, depending largely on the availability of speakers. Meetings generally take place on a Saturday morning (from 10.00 to 12.15), but also occasionally on a weekday evening (19.30 to 21.00). We meet at a number of different venues: usually at a multi-racial, multi-cultural parish in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg (Rosebank), occasionally at a Soweto parish (Orlando West), and other venues.

We have a small number of members in Pretoria, where we hope to establish an active branch.
