On Saturday 1 September at 10h00 Fr Stefan Hippler will talk on “Is there a need for a linguistic Galileo in our Church?”

In his church the retired Episcopal  Bishop John Shelby Spong challenges how Christians speak and think about the divine and consequently how they pray and worship. The talk will summarize and explore his reflections on the topic and as a consequence the challenges we Catholics may face in how we worship and believe in God and pass on our faith.

Fr Stefan is Chair of the Board of Trustees of HOPE (an HIV/AIDS and TB NGO), and was previously Chaplain to the German-speaking Catholic Community in Cape Town
